You are invited to Queer Clothing Swap & Social!

Join us for a fabulous 🌈 Queer Clothing Swap and Social! Bring up to 10 items of gently-used clothing that no longer spark joy in your wardrobe and exchange them for new-to-you items that suit your current style. This event is for everyone in the queer community to find clothing that fits and expresses their individuality and affirm their identity without breaking the bank.

Our event will be filled with fun and laughter, so bring your friends along and meet other queer folks.  There will be spaces to sit down, settle in, and socialise over some board/card games as well as delicious pizzas and bevvies for purchase! There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available!

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to refresh your wardrobe and enjoy a budget and eco-friendly day out with your friends. It’s even cheaper than charity shopping!

How the Swap Works:

When you arrive you will exchange your swappable items for tokens. You can then browse items brought by others, and “check out” at the end by “cashing in” your tokens for those items. 

1 item = 1 token to exchange 🔄

Once the items are traded for tokens they go straight onto the floor, so make sure you are 100% sure before you pass them over.
 

Then you can look at all the items brought by other people, take breaks and enjoy some food or games, go back to see if anything else you like has been added, and “check-out” with your chosen items whenever you are finished. We encourage people to arrive earlier so they can get the most out of the event and see more items that come into the swap before they are snagged by someone else. 

Tickets are PWYC and are considered donations that go towards helping us improve and grow our charity events. If you are able to contribute more, we would really appreciate it as we need to purchase 2-3 new heavy duty clothing rails which are quite expensive!

❗❗ Note: We will not accept items that are dirty, stained, torn (with the exception of “distressed” items), missing buttons, have broken zips, etc. We also will not accept underwear, socks, tights/hosiery, or any children’s items. We do allow hats, scarves, belts, and bags. Shoes must be in great condition and clean!

If you have more than 10 items you may bring the excess as a donation. You will still be capped at 10 swapping tickets in order to help ensure everyone can find items. If you are unable to attend the event and wish to make a donation, please DM us or email us (see below).

Allies are welcome but please be mindful that this is a queer space. 

• Photographs may be taken of the event for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please alert one of the clothing swap staff members.
• We reserve the right to remove any attending party if causing a disturbance to the venue or event.
• Tickets to our events are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled, or is subject to a major change.
• OutSavvy does not permit ticket resale for PWYC tickets.
• We do permit tickets to be gifted or sold to someone else if you are no longer able to attend, but peer to peer selling/buying is at your own risk.
